Rheumatologic and Musculoskeletal Diseases

Purpose: Provide primary care providers and others in rural areas with limited access with the tools to diagnose rheumatic and musculoskeletal processes and provide initial management of these conditions

Audience: Clinicians (medical doctors, doctors of osteopathic medicine, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, naturopaths, chiropractors, physician’s associates, nurse practitioners) in rural areas or with reduced access to specialists

Sample topics: Ordering and interpreting rheumatologic labs; Rheumatoid arthritis; Spondyloarthritis including psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis; Central pain and fibromyalgia; Osteoarthritis; Polymyalgia rheumatica; Effective physical therapy strategies

Schedule: 12 sessions. Wednesdays, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., Pacific time, January 8 - March 26, 2025
